When ask to talk about yourself:
1.Briefly introduce yourself
2. Highlight one or two of your personality  strengths
3.  Give specific examples to support what you  say

When asked about your motivation to be a doctor:
1.Focus on what you want to do for your  target group (the sick) and/ or the target service
2.  Don’t focus on the qualities of a doctor


WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A CHIT-CHAT INTERVIEW?
1.  To see how well you communicate ideas
2.  To check your language proficiency
3.  To have an insight into your personality
To check your attitudes towards issues  and people
To find out your biases and motivation in life
6. To see your impact/ influence on those    around you

Talking about interests / hobbies/ activities and handling stress

 
Purpose?
1.To see if you have a way to de-stress or  let go your frustrations
2.  To allow him/ her to read your personality

Handling negative questions
1.Begin your response in a positive manner
                                 OR
2. See the negative as something to learn from
                                 OR
3. Admit to the negative quality and admit
    to the need to improve

Final Advice
Read about the latest issues  in medicine as well  as some general information on medicine and   have opinions

2.Think of and prepare how you would answer  the different questions
3.  Rehearse some of the answers to the basic questions with friends who are good in English
